BCV4 clones complete z/OS Db2 subsystems. Setting up and running homogeneous system copies of Db2 database systems becomes a simple job stream with BCV4. It is an indispensable tool for creating SAP or PeopleSoft test environments and general QA system refreshes. BCV4 supports standalone Db2 subsystems and data sharing groups and is compatible with copy services such as native ADRDSSU, Flashcopy, or Snapshot. It automates the entire cloning process: renaming datasets, modifying VTOCs and VVDSs, creating new catalogs, re-cataloging all datasets, and making the new Db2 subsystem clone immediately usable.
